Research, drafting, training, library and support services are delivered through the Office of the Director-General and ten departments, each headed by a Director reporting to the Director-General.

01 Office of the Director-General The office of the Chief Executive and Academic Officer of the Institute, and the eight divisions and units that report to it. Director-General Prof. Abubakar O. Sulaiman 02 Legislative Support Services Legislative drafting, bill analysis and direct technical support to committees of the National Assembly, State Houses of Assembly and the ECOWAS Parliament. Ag. Director Prof. Abiodun Amuda-Kannike, SAN 03 Economic and Social Research In-depth research on development policy and economic management, produced for the National Assembly and the Nigerian public. Ag. Director Dr. Augustine C. Osigwe 04 Democracy and Governance Training, advocacy and research on democracy, political culture and governance, in Nigeria and beyond. Ag. Director Christopher Ochanja Ngara, PhD 05 Department of Studies Master's degree and postgraduate diploma programmes in legislative studies, legislative drafting, parliamentary administration, election and party politics, and constitutional law. Director Dr. Asimiyu Abiola 06 Training and International Cooperation Organising and coordinating the capacity building trainings of the Institute, and its cooperation with parliaments and partners abroad. Acting Director Joke Akinsanmi 07 Finance and Accounts Receipt, custody and disbursement of Institute funds, and financial advice to the Director-General and Management. Director Mr. Mshelia Madu Ibrahim 08 Administration and Human Resources The engine room of the Institute — administration and human resources, works and maintenance, and the transport pool. Acting Director Musibau Olalere Moshood 09 Institute Library A special library with areas of specialisation in legislation and governance, serving legislators, legislative staff and researchers in general. Acting Director Dr Catherine E. Ikokoh (CLN) 10 Internal Audit Independent, objective assurance provided for in Financial Regulations 1704, reporting directly to the Director-General. Director Mr. David Akinyemi Osanaiye 11 Centre for Advanced Executive Education Programme Executive leadership courses for the Institute’s Governing Council, legislators and senior public officials.
